Help Provide a Temporary Home for New International Students

Madison Friends of International Students (MFIS) is a non-profit organization of volunteers who befriend and help international students and their families. Since 1952 they have assisted international students attending UW-Madison, and in 2008 they expanded their outreach to Madison College international students.

MFIS is currently seeking local hosts to offer international students a place to stay for the first one to three nights upon arrival to Madison.

You will be sent a Volunteer Application Form as a first step to this international experience. On behalf of the Center for International Education, we encourage you to volunteer with MFIS as a temporary host, or through any of their other programs for international students.
