Help Make Prom Dreams Come True!

As you may know, I'm a member of the Junior League of Madison, a women's organization committed to voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities.

One of our local flagship projects is an event called "All Dressed Up" which provides teenage girls in the area with prom dresses and accessories. Last year, the event's fifth, more than 300 girls left with dresses and/or accessories.

This year the event will be held on Saturday, March 20 at the Truax campus. Please consider looking through your closet (or your daughter's), and asking your friends and family to do the same, to help us gather up dresses, shoes, jewelry, and purses for this year's event. 

Please don't hesitate because you think a dress or accessory may be out of date. One thing that we have learned in years past is that every girl has her own special style and you can never predict what that might be.

Our community partner Klinke Cleaners will be collecting all items (not just dresses) from February 15-27. I would also be happy to take any items you have to donate before that time. Or let me know if you would like to arrange a time for me to pick-up your donation, I would be happy to do so.
