Geoff Bradshaw Receives Werner Kubsch Award

    Geoff with his awardDr. Geoff Bradshaw, Madison College Director of International Education, was recognized by Community Colleges for International Development (CCID) with their annual Werner Kubsch Award. This prestigious award is bestowed upon a community college educator who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in international education related to community colleges, and to the betterment of international relations.

    The award was voted upon the the CCID board, a body representing community college presidents from 28 community colleges. The award is named in honor of Dr. Werner O. Kubsch (1922-1992), founder and president of Studiosus Reisen Munchen, the largest independent educational and cultural travel organization in Europe, and a strong supporter in the founding of Community Colleges for International Development.

    Dr. Bradshaw received this award for his work in holistic internationalization of Madison College including study abroad, international students, and internationalization of the curriculum. In particular, Dr. Bradshaw was recognized for his work in the growth and development of the Madison College International Education program from a one-person office, to a regional and national leader in best practices for community college internationalization and for his service on multiple state, regional, and national boards and committees supporting global education initiatives.
