Former Madison College Instructor Dies

We're sad to tell you former Madison Area Technical College instructor Marian Racine has died. Here's her obituary:

Marian M. Racine, 85, of New Holstein formerly of Madison died Saturday, September 4, at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.

She was born April 21, 1925, in Matoon, WI to the late Paul and Marie Lemke Leiskau. On February 23, 1946, she married David E. Racine in Birnamwood in Shawano County. Marian taught Restaurant Management at Madison Area Technical College for 22 years. Survivors include her husband, David Racine of New Holstein; three sisters, Rose Roepke of Charlesburg, Viola Jetran of New Holstein and Karen Stark of Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and a daughter, Debra Racine.

Private services were held on Saturday, September 11, at the Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein. Burial took place in the St. Charles Cemetery in Charlesburg.
