First Student Segway User

    SegwayWe have our first student Segway user at Madison Area Technical College! The Segway is being used by more and more people with mobility disabilities.

    Recent Americans with Disabilities Act regulations allow the Segway to be used in areas open to pedestrian traffic. However, it must be used in a safe manner and Disability Resource Services has talked to the student about this.

    Someday, Segways may become as accepted as wheelchairs, scooters, and WAGS dogs.
