Here's a list of events taking place at the College in honor of Black History Month:
United Common Ground and Student Life Present:
Student Talent Showcase and "Motown Review"
Thursday, February 24
11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Mitby Theater
An interactive history lesson regarding the importance and influence of Motown music on American culture. Music will be provided by the Milwaukee Bucks house band-Streetlife, featuring Warren Weigratz.
Brown Bag Luncheon
Monday, February 28
12 to 1 p.m.
Downtown Room 240
Cultural Competencies 101 with Professor Harold Gates. Learn more about the importance of cultural sensitivity, living and interacting in a global society.
