A Big Thank You!

Thanks to your generous donations, Madison College student Shawnna Hunter and her family are feeling a little bit better this holiday season.

Last month a fire broke out at Shawnna's condo/apartment complex on Morraine View Drive in Madison. When it was all over, Shawnna, her husband and their four young children were left homeless. The family is currently staying at a hotel. They lost everything in the fire.

Here's where the story gets better. Thanks to your help we were able to collect more than $400 for the family, as well as lots of clothing and household supplies. Shawnna was in tears. 

There's still time to donate. Here's how you can help: 

• Write a check to the Madison College Foundation (put Hunter Family Fund in the memo area)
• Drop-off your check/donations to the Truax Student Life office
• Shawnna has a daugher who's 12 (size 6 junior), twin 3-year-old boys (size 5-6) and a 16-month-old girl
  (size 3 toddler)
• Everything is needed: clothing, non-perishable food, household items, gift cards
